Feb 16, 2009 This is in praise of unexpected mail. Especially when it’s handwritten and comes from my oldest cousin and includes a bizarre-hysterical photo of us. Todd looks like he’s taking his job so seriously, and I am the happiest 1980s girl that ever donned a tube top. I want to feel that moment again.

Random question... Are you from the east coast? Was that picture taken at Canobie Lake Park? (Ignore me if none of that makes sense!) I could swear that I have a similar picture of me and my brother on the same cars with the same expressions. Ah, youth!!!
Hi Kim, not random at all -- East Coast amusement parks have that certain unmistakable texture and cheesiness. I grew up in Virginia, so as best I can figure, that might have been snapped at Busch Gardens near Williamsburg? I love how many of us have a similar version of this exact moment!
BINGO! You're right, Kelly. We and the Adamses were all at Busch Gardens near Williamsburg, VA, when this photo was taken. I like the idea of Todd chauffeuring you around. That makes me laugh more than your outfit does. =)
