barn easter

Virginia this time of year smells like hyacinths and new onion grass, backed by a loud chorus of peepers. There were new daffodils, chilly evening cocktails, egg hunts, walks in the woods, and long, laughing dinners.

the photos are so gorgeous and the poem in the previous post lovely. i have heard it before and it truly speaks to the true heart of the holiday.

how did the dress sewing go? my first try with elastic thread and bobbin was not super successful, but i shall persevere.

Can there be an Easter re-do soon, say, tomorrow? I'd like to jump into the pond with a daffodil in my hair and a G&T in my hand...

The most intriguing photo to me is the tin lid and waxed circles. That one made me stop and look really carefully because it is beautiful but I didn't know what it was a first! It looks like you had a wonderful weekend.

This is just beautiful! The photos have so much feeling behind them, I feel like I was there! I wish we had green grass here, it look so fresh and fun...almost hard to remember what it's like after a long winter (:
