lookin' down on creation
Apr 25, 2010

A happy, top-of-the-world perch for reading the Sunday papers. This is atop an old bunker from WWII, but blankets and these DIY cushions soften up the place. Last time, we brought a homemade chocolate peanut butter milkshake in a big Mason jar to sip as we read. The dried mangos we brought yesterday were not as inspired, but we made the milkshake as soon as we got home. Malted, of course. Because if the milkshake isn’t malted, why bother?

Oh sweet milkshake deliciousness. Can you DIY-up a transporter to beam me there weekly? xo
Look at your adorable little ankle warmers! This sounds like the perfect weekend to me. Would you perhaps post the recipe for the milkshake? I am going to buy a blender tonight, and would love to try it out :)
Here's the recipe from my husband...but there's a lot of give in this. He takes a half-pint of Ben and Jerry's chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream, adds about 2 cups of milk, a good long squeeze of chocolate syrup, and a couple-to-a-few tablespoons of malt powder. Whirl it all up with a hand blender or regular blender. We like our milkshakes on the thinner side (probably so we can drink them faster!), so if you like them thicker, start with less milk and keep adding until you get the consistency you want. Enjoy!
come back, KMA! We can give little Stephen his first sip! xo
