summer list: your turn
Jul 9, 2010 Happy Friday, Lazyhood. Some more additions to the Summer List from the always-imaginative lazy brethren:
Heidi wants to have a water balloon fight with her niece.
Jessi B wants to go camping with her hubs, build a gigantic fire, drink wine directly out of the bottle and cook just-caught fish over the open flame.
Joan is looking forward to lightweight cotton dresses, skirts and summer quilts.

A Captain’s Wife wants to build a tree house.
Sarah wants to take naps with her kids.
Colleen wants to try different flavors of snowcones and enjoy as many root beer floats as possible.
Erin wants to teach her kids to play Kick the Can and Ghost in the Graveyard.
And Netrez wants to sit on the back deck of her childhood home with her mother at dusk and listen to the cricket chorus.
What about you? What are your lazy plans this weekend?

I'm going to relax in my lawn chair, drink a glass of lemonade and enjoy an outdoor concert!
P.S. I love this blog!! It makes me happy! : )
I want to start a creative project and finish it. Completely.
Ideas: applique apron, book cover, lamp shade.
We'll see :)
I am going to sit on my aged Adirondack Chairs that I dragged all the way back from Vermont during a cold February visit several years ago to my home in England. I live facing a beautiful canal and on warm summer nights, with a gin and tonic in hand, sit and watch the canal boats go by - and often times have people comment on the chairs as they are not really an English thing.
Today I spent forever inflating an inflatable pool that has been sitting in our basement for years. I then proceeded to fill it up with water from the hose, which turned out to be ICY cold--not in a nice refreshing way, unfortunately. My solution: bring buckets of hot water from inside the hose and dump them in, one by one...it worked! It may not have been the smoothest road, but I got a nice dose of sunshine and a moderately cool pool to soak in...not to mention a little helping of reality : -) I feel like I can add today to my summery accomplishments for the year!
The first order of the day is safety testing the hammock, to ensure my afternoon naps are completely safe--gentle swaying notwithstanding.
