I had some laminated cotton leftover from a project and framed it for a piece of outdoor art. The possibilities are endless with this – I imagine a little cluster of outdoor art pieces, some big and some small, all cut from different parts of this beautiful fabric. The tutorial is up here. The fabric is Echino Birdsong. I now have this print in laminate and regular cotton because I love it so and can't help myself.
And in unrelated news, I am in love with this post from Amy. Sometimes I get a little intimidated by the cool factor of records, but I recently hung out with an old Fisher Price record player and Crystal Gayle and Yaz albums, and there was such texture to the music. Amy’s answers to her daughter’s questions are funny and poignant and nostalgic all mashed together and it made my heart slushy with affection.
