sound of the weekend

After a cheese plate and dark beer at a favorite weekend spot, we walked out into the inky twilight and this freshest sound of spring.

:) This makes me smile. I went to college in northern NH and this sound, rising from the swampy bit of campus near the parking lot, was always such a lovely harbinger of spring.
