I’m still trying to make good on my intention of sending more real mail. And I find that one key to making that happen is having stationery on hand that perks me up every time I pull it out to dash off a few thoughts.

Notecards in a happy, saturated color and an initial stamp does the trick for me. Plus, you get a little surge of satisfaction every time you make your custom cards. I got my stamp and paper at Paper Source, and I went with the kraft color envelope because pink-on-pink was a wee too matchy-matchy for me.

Now get out there and write someone so you can feel in your soul what Lord Byron described: "Letter writing is the only device for combining solitude with good company."
